Hello!
I've created these forums out of want to learn Irish, but lacking a proper immersion method. Of course, learning a language is possible without immersion, but it is easier with it.
My Irish is still on a beginner level. There may(will) be mistakes in the grammar/vocab/etc on the boards. Apologies, but please(please!) correct me as you see them! Or make them known somehow. I won't get angry for be corrected, I'd prefer to have it right.
The boards are FAR from complete. Right now they are divided in 3 parts, for beginner's Irish, intermediate's Irish, and advanced Irish. Basically as such in beginner Irish sections you use mostly English, intermediate you attempt to step it up and mix it in with increasing levels of Irish, and in advanced you attempt to use exclusively Irish. People can interchange between the groups as they wish, I only request that they obey the restrictions within.
This whole forum is almost a social experiment on my part. I want to create a board where people can learn and teach Irish in an immersive environment. It requires both learners and teachers to stay alive. If you do nothing else on these boards, just check around every once in a while, or at least spread the word. Make it more popular, the more people we have the better this whole concept will work!
I really hope this gets off the ground. Help out as you see fit, the suggestions forums are there for a reason. Thanks for visiting!
